Distance from the South Downs Way: Two miles
The large village of Storrington is located between Pulborough and Steyning. Historically, it was an important market place and was also a centre for tanning and blacksmithing. These days it has a bustling village centre and whilst not an attraction in itself, it’s a handy stopping off point along the South Downs Way and is a good place to stock up on supplies. There is also a good choice of pubs, restaurants and overnight accommodation.
Getting Here & Home Again
By Train & Bus
The closest train station is Pulborough, 3 miles away, with direct trains to London Victoria (75 minutes). There are regular bus services to Horsham, Steyning, Pulborough, Henfield and Burgess Hill.
By Car
Storrington is on the A283 connecting it to Steyning to the east and Pulborough and beyond to the west. It’s also close to the A24, making it easy to get to from Horsham, Dorking and the M25. There are two pay and display car parks and limited on street parking in the village centre.
Amenities
There are several pubs, a number of independent shops, several banks, a post office and a couple of supermarkets.
